Other relevant topics may include best practices, cultural awareness, and regularory and ethical standards compliance.

What can you share about any past work that is relevant to this grant?:
I have been involved with technical writing/editing and education in a multi-cultural/lingual environment. There is a big need for multi-lingual to assist users to fully understand concepts and best practices presented in their native language. In my past work I have had to adapt to understanding technical concepts in foreign languages and formats so I appreciate the necessity of clarity in language presentation.

Why are you interested in contributing to The Graph and/or web3?:
As a Graph advocate my contribution to The Graph has been modest but I have been active in dissemination information here in local events and online communities in Vietnam, Armenia, Georgia. I would like to increase and maximize my contributions with this proposal - hence my application for this grant.

Hello! Thank you for submitting this proposal!

I have a few questions about it.

  1. With a multi-lingual video, do I understand it correctly no one would be able to understand the full video. As the video is in multiple languages?

  2. Would Graph Advocates be able to help out with the translation of the videos?

Colson,

The subtitles will convey the full english subtitles in a separate frame.

Advocates would be welcome to contribute. The target languages may be quite niche but all cooperation is productive.

Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to apply! In the process of reviewing and generally understanding what you want to do, but I also had a few questions:

  1. Who do you plan to bring as a speaker?
  2. For how long, do you want to hold these panel discussions. 1 month, 3 months, or any other term?
  3. Where do you plan to conduct these panel discussions? Will it be some kind of dedicated social media?
  4. Could you show some links to your project or your experience? Since from what I’ve read you already have experience in this area.

Thank you!!! And good luck to you!

Hi @SavantMax007 ,

Thank you for submitting your application! After reviewing your application I have a few questions in addition to @Colson 's and @doxe01.eth 's :

  • Can you provide a detailed description of what would be covered in these videos? Would they be technical in nature? If so what topics would be covered? If not, what specifically would these videos be reviewing?
  • I’m still not sure I completely understand the format of the videos. Would they be recorded in English and then subtitles for other languages would be added? Or is that a bad interpretation on my end? Would love more clarity on what these would look like as a finished product.

Thanks again for applying! Looking forward to your responses.

Apologies for the late response - I have been out on business

It is the plan bring in The Graph advocates and industry specialists to give insight from alternative perspectives and cultural approaches. I have identified panel invitees from China, Ukraine,Armenia, Russia, Vietnam, South Africa.

It is planned that the panel discussions would be published every 4-6 weeks.

The panel discussions would be in video format and hosted independently or via YouTube, with social media promotion on multiple platforms and forums.

My experience in creating this concept of multi-lingual/cultural interactions is from work done here in Armenia, as well as in Vietnam and China. I have done voice-overs and translations for charity foundations where concepts needed accurate language contributions
