Summary:

We the octaloop are a company of crypto enthusiasts who have been organising blockchain events since 2016. We have been conducting hackathons and crypto conferences. We wrapped up our biggest event “MM 22” in India last year.

This year we are hosting:-

-India blockchain tour starting from May.

-“Metamorphosis 2023” India.

-“Metamorphosis 2023” Dubai.

We are looking forward to Host Graph protocol as the Co-Sponsor for our India Blockchain tour which starts on May 13 .

India Blockchain Tour is a way to interact with and onboard users from different parts of India.

We would be touring major cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata to organise meet-ups and interact with various communities, individual investors, VCs, developers, crypto enthusiasts, etc.

Usually, each meet-up is attended by 150 people which means we will be able to promote Graph in front of more than 600 people through the tour. The India Blockchain Tour would only have one or two more sponsors and none of them would have a similar IP as yours. This means you would be able to onboard relevant users without any external competition.
We can also arrange for quizzes or any other sort of competition for the purpose of engaging the audience with Graph.

The IBT title sponsorship is for 10kusd and we have Bitget as the title sponsor.

Co-sponsor gets all the benefits and perks of the title sponsor such as:-

-Speaking session in all 6 cities.
-Showcasing the services/products on the stage.
-PR and Media Coverage.
-On-site Branding.
-Access to Attendees’ data.

Octaloop has been conducting events in India since 2016. We have a strong network of local communities in each city in India.

We have a great network of developers through the meetups and hackathons we conducted in the past.

This is more than enough for the exposure and expansion of Graph in India.

Let’s start. So the first one it is about budget. Can you show us a breakdown? X for that, x for this and so on.

The next one it is about community. You said that you will have a tour, so it will be in different places in country or what? How many attenders were at your last event?

Did you contact with anyone from The Graph India? It is an unofficial community in Telegram. Of with advocates, that want to attend your event?

How long will it take to organize and make this tour? 2-3 month?

And the last one, did you get any another funding for the past events?

1)The budget is breakdown to :-
Press Release.
Venue hosting charges for all 6 cities.
On site Branding and displays.
Food and Drinks.

2)Yes, the Tour cover 6 major cities in India.Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Last year we made a cap in each city of about 120 people. So there was a total of 600 people. This year we are making it 150-200 per city.

3)No I haven’t contacted anyone.

Okay, got it. So I want to warn about the time:

You said that the first city will be on May 13. But if talk about all processes in the DAO, you may not get an initial funding on May 13. Because, after a community review (if you get a lot of votes - yes), will be a grant presentation. After presentation will be a Grant committee voting (second one on the Forum), also after that grant committee create a DAOhaus proposal and after the voting from the DAO you will get your funds.

3. Are there any success stories or examples of projects that have emerged from your previous events? This would help showcase the potential impact of your proposed events

4. How do you plan to measure the success of these events in terms of promoting The Graph and onboarding new users or developers?

1)Venue and food are 10-12 dollars per person depending upon the city.

photographers and videographers would cost about 245 dollars.

Emcee is another 120-240 dollars depending upon the city.

Printing is another 240 dollars.

This is per city cost

2. We can invite all the local advocates to the event. They can decide upon what programs to be conducted . About the speaking position, we can do it both ways. If you have people in the city who is from the Graph Core or advocates dao we can invite them. Otherwise, we can arrange a speaker for you.
   Someone from the team can speak virtually also, we can arrange a setup for that.

3. We hosted our First IBT last year. We had Poloniex and Bitcasino as sponsors.

Successfully ran brand awareness campaigns for Poloniex as they were entering
India for the first time, due to which they were able to attract more than 500
users a month.
Ran campaigns across IBT where we educated people about Poloniex by hosting
quizzes and trading competitions and made the attendees register on Poloniex
platform
This resulted in Poloniex getting 2 IEOs at the Metamorphosis Event in Bengaluru.

The same thing with Bitcasino, we were able to provide them with recognition and new users. We also hosted them an after-party on a yacht.

4)-We would be inviting a developer-focused audience.
-We can host quizzes and other events where the audience can interact with graph.
-We have been conducting hackathons in the past. We can provide you with the data of the developers.
-Grow the Graph India community through various campaigns and community shoutouts.

-Improve collaboration and partnership opportunities within the crypto ecosystem in India.

5)We have Onboarded Bitget as the title sponsor. But can you guys make a decision by May 13? Because the tour will start on May 13 .If not,we can host an event graph-focused.

Congratulations! The majority decision of the Grant Committee has concluded to recommend this proposal to the DAO.

In order to receive official approval from the DAO, a corresponding on-chain vote needs to be conducted on DAOHaus that will determine the DAO decision. A member of the Grant Committee will reach out to you via email with instructions on next steps in order to prepare for the on-chain funding proposal, which requires prior completion of KYC and consent to the Grant Agreement.
