Grant Proposal: Epic Web3 Hackathon

Grant ID: 8687b0v9e

Summary:

Epic Web3 Hackathon will be held as part of the BlockShow & BlockDown conference (co-organised by Cointelegraph) on 7-9 May 2024 in Hong Kong.

This is a 48-hour, chain-agnostic, builder-focused hackathon. It will host 200-300 builders including web3 developers (70%), web3 curious web2 developers (20%) and non-dev builders - designers, marketers, product managers etc (10%).

Most builders will be from the local community, although we will provide some travel grants for those coming from mainland China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.

The hackathon is open to both new and existing projects, encouraging early stage startups to compete alongside solo developers.

Hello Alex,
Thank you for applying and considering The Graph Advocates DAO

Kindly, explain the following points to provide more clarity:

  • How are you planning to provide travel grants to participants?
  • Your breakdown of funding is up to $30,000 while you’re requesting $15,000.
  • Provide some links to the past Web3 events you mentioned organized by your team in Lisbon, Paris and other locations (I saw the notion link provided)
  • BeWater platform will host the workshops or the hackathon itself is virtual?
  • In Milestones, you listed this but stated previously that you started onboarding “Sponsors, partners and jury members”???
  • List some of the many other partners that are willing to fund this project, just curious to figure out how your team is going to fund $50,000 in bounties.

Hello Alex!
