Grant Proposal: DAO_Terminal: Enhancing User Involvement in Governance

Grant ID: 8685aevyh

Summary:

Not every stakeholder has the time to stay updated with governance events and actively participate in every topic. To address this, DAO_Terminal can be seamlessly integrated into existing governance channels of the DAO, including platforms such as Discord, Telegram, Twitter and Email. By delivering concise and informative event summaries through these familiar channels, DAO_Terminal effectively enhances user engagement in governance processes.
This innovative integration offers a dual advantage: it not only simplifies access to essential governance information but also encourages broader participation from a diverse group of stakeholders. Through the integration with widely-used communication platforms, DAO_Terminal significantly lowers the barriers to entry for individuals seeking to engage in the decision-making processes. As a result, the conversations and decisions within the community become more inclusive and representative of the entire stakeholder base.

How far along are you?:
The project is at the initial stage

Why did you pick this idea to work on? Do you have domain expertise in this area? How do you know people need what you’re making?:
The challenges of navigating forum sites, huge proposals, sifting through numerous threads, and assessing feedback across multiple channels can discourage users from actively participating in governance. DAO_Terminal solves this by providing succinct, unbiased, AI-generated digests on governance events through Discord, Twitter, Telegram and Email.

What’s new about what you’re making? What substitutes do people resort to because it doesn’t exist yet (or they don’t know about it)?:
There are no similar projects that use AI to generate summaries from governance across Discord, Twitter, Telegram, and Email.

What’s your vision for how your project will impact The Graph and/or web3?:
DAO_Terminal’s integration with existing governance channels brings forth a plethora of benefits:
Seamless Onboarding for New Users: By providing key event summaries through familiar platforms like Discord, Telegram, and Twitter, DAO_Terminal accelerates the integration of new users into the voting and decision-making processes. This ensures that newcomers swiftly become active participants within the community.
Sustained Engagement for Active Users: The integration contributes to a decreased churn rate among existing active users. By keeping them informed and engaged through their preferred communication channels, DAO_Terminal cultivates a sense of ongoing involvement and commitment.
Facilitates Expert Participation: DAO_Terminal enables subject matter experts and interested parties to effortlessly monitor relevant governance topics. This convenient access encourages their timely and informed contributions, enhancing the depth and quality of discussions.
Prompt Community Responses: With an expanded reach enabled by integration, the community can rapidly respond to potential abuses or issues. The increased visibility of discussions and decisions enables quick detection and mitigation of problems, safeguarding the DAO’s integrity.
As a result, the integration of DAO_Terminal with existing governance channels yields an array of advantages:
Elevated Audience Engagement: By meeting users on platforms they already frequent, the integration stimulates greater interaction and active participation in the governance.
Efficient New Member Onboarding: Rapidly immersing new members in the DAO’s activities via familiar channels leads to faster acclimatization and integration, reducing the time it takes for them to become productive contributors.
Strengthened Community Involvement: The integration empowers the community to take part in discussions and decisions more readily, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that strengthens the overall governance structure.
Mitigated Fraud and Collusion: The wider reach facilitated by integration acts as a deterrent against fraudulent activities and collusion. The increased visibility of discussions makes it harder for malicious actors to operate unnoticed.
Minimized Audience Attrition: By maintaining users’ interest and involvement through convenient channels, the integration helps curb audience dropouts, ensuring a sustained pool of engaged participants.
