Grant Proposal: octaloop (April 2023)

Greetings!

The presentation of the project will be in the public-voice-chat channel on the Graph AdvocatesDAO Discord server on May 2 at 18:00 UTC. Entrance is open and everyone is welcome to come in and ask their questions during the presentation!

Thank everyone for your attention!

Thanks for the call! Looking forward for the next steps

Congratulations! The majority decision of the Grant Committee has concluded to recommend this proposal to the DAO.

In order to receive official approval from the DAO, a corresponding on-chain vote needs to be conducted on DAOHaus that will determine the DAO decision. A member of the Grant Committee will reach out to you via email with instructions on next steps in order to prepare for the on-chain funding proposal, which requires prior completion of KYC and consent to the Grant Agreement.

Thank you for all your effort to present a strong proposal aiming to grow The Graph and web3 ecosystem!

Thanks for providing the photos! Looks like you put together some great events. A couple of questions in regards to this grant:

  • It looks like there was an event scheduled for June 24th in Chennai as well. Has that event rescheduled?
  • In your grant agreement it lists the deliverables as: “Post-Event Reports: For each meetup(6 total), Octaloop will provide a post-event report, including an overview of the event, number of attendees, topics discussed, feedback received, and any potential leads or opportunities identified for The Graph.” and “Photo/Video Documentation: Octaloop will provide photographs and video documentation from each event, especially those that feature The Graph”. I know you’ve already submitted some great photos. Videos would be awesome as well if you have them.

Ordinarily I’d think it would make the most sense to request those deliverables at the end of all six events. But since you are applying for an additional grant, it would be very helpful to see the the post event reports and video documentation for the four that have already taken place.

Thanks again for your work hosting these events!

: We welcomed 135 attendees for our first event of the India Blockchain Tour 2023 series. The event consisted of 5 speaker sessions, followed by Q & As. The speakers were industry leaders from global brands such as Bitget (Simran Alphonso, PR Head), NEAR Foundation (Arpit Sharma, Managing Director, India, SE Asia & Middle East), 1Inch (Samuel Yim, Head of APAC & Deputy General Counsel) and Binamite (Anupam Varshney, Founder). From The Graph, Vincint Plaisier (Colson) carried out an exciting virtual speaker session. We conducted two Telegram quizzes with monetary rewards to keep the crowd engaged. Merch (t-shirts, tote bags, stickers and brochures) was handed out to attendees as keepsakes as they left.

He also shared positive feedback with us in the

Hey @doxe01.eth sorry for the late response. Missed this , here is the details of Kolkata , sending chennai asap.

Kolkata:-

Octaloop on Instagram: "Here’s a quick recap of our fantastic India Blockchain Tour Kolkata event last Saturday! Next stop, Chennai! Have you registered yet? #indiablockchaintour #kolkata #chennai #blockchain #cryptoworld #meetup #events"

60+ folks from across Kolkata joined us for our second last leg of IBT 2023. Graph’s own, Agrim Nagrani, joined us in person for an exciting session, and graciously answered questions from the crowd. We also welcomed Arjun Venugopal, the Lead Product Manager at Cleartax for a virtual speaker session, followed by a session by Anupam Varshney (Founder, Binamite). Two quizzes on Telegram were conducted to keep the crowd engaged and energised. The attendees were offered delicious refreshments after the session, and were handed exciting merch during their departure.

@doxe01.eth here is the info about the last city :-

Chennai :-

(Octaloop on Instagram: "Aaaand, that’s a wrap for IBT 2023! 😅 What a wild ride it was, folks. Kicking off in Delhi, then Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and finally making our last stop in Chennai! Here are some highlights from the event 📸 While IBT 2023 has come to an end, we will be back soon with our flagship event, Metamorphosis, across 3 cities (Dubai, Delhi and Bangalore) later this year. 💪 Keep an eye on our socials for the latest updates.")

We made our final stop for IBT 2023 at Chennai, where we welcomed ~70 folks at Watson’s T Nagar. Graph Advocate Sruthi joined us one last time for an intriguing session, followed by sessions from CoinEx’s Aravinth Yohan, NC Global Media’s Rohit Mohan, and Octaloop/Binamite’s Anupam Varshney. Two Telgram quizzes and one in-person quiz saw winners earn merch and exciting prizes. In typical Octaloop fashion, we signed off for one last time by offering attendees refreshments and merch as keepsakes. Until next time!

Hello!

Great job. Could you provide photos and videos from the last two cities? Just copying from Instagram is not an option, lmao.

Thank you.
