Yes

If yes, please describe where you’ve received funding from and how much you have, or will, receive:
We have received funding for past events & hackathon sponsorships. Polygon recently sponsored a hacker houe for ETHMexico. We have received multiple sponsorships from Harmony protcol to bring scholars/hackers to ETHDenver, Rio & Amsterdam. And sponsorship from Jump for Blu3 DAY NewYork, Storj for a happy hour & Superfluid for ETHMexico swag. For Devcon, our fundraising goal is 30k to sponsor 30 hackers, host Blu3 Day Devcon & host a Women in Web3 Brunch & host a 4 day Women Leaders in Web3 Community Hub.

What’s your vision for how your project will impact The Graph and/or web3?:
We take our role as partners seriously & always ask the protocols and blockchains that we partner with how we can best support them. For our Blu3 Hacks program, our Blu3 devs team would organize an educational workshop to teach our hackers about building on the Graph & all our hack teams would use the Graph in their projects. Blu3 Day, a career and networking summit geared to help people transition to a web3 career, is a great opportunity for the Graph to hire talent. We are also leading one of 6 community hubs selected by the Ethereum Foundation for Devcon which would provide a great speaking/workshop opportunity for the Graph.

All partnership details and funding tiers can be found in our partnership deck. Please note that the 10k asked would cover a Silver Tier sponsor for the Blu3 DAO Hacker House which includes logo on digitial promo, hackers building with The Graph, Blu3 Day sponsored talk, and panel talk at Devcon community hub. The accomodation for hackers would cover Oct 5-15th for ETHBogota & Devcon. The price of the hotel currently booked for 30 hackers is $14,124. All funding goes directly to supporting hackers. https://www.canva.com/design/DAFG5PLNfA0/oHPbua3h75-SJ_bljn3igw/view?utm_content=DAFG5PLNfA0&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelink#6

What can you share about any past work that is relevant to this grant?:
In the past six months, we have achieved many successes as a DAO. Blu3 consists of 850 DAO members globally, 40+ Core Team Members (who all volunteer their time towards the mission of bringing more women builders into web3), 4000+ social media followers, 150+ womxn, nb folks and allies sent to hackathons, Out of 25+ teams we have a 95% win rate + three teams as ETHGlobal finalists. Our partners have also found success in working with us, to quote a recent tweet from Polygon “#Blu3House #onPolygon has been incredible! Both womxn hackers and other sponsors have talked about how impactful and needed it is to have a safe space/hub for women, non-binary folks and allies”

Can you share any information about current/past web3 experience?:
We have a diverse group of core contributors, some of whom work full time in web3 (ie. dev rel, devs, project managers, founders) & some who were originally Blu3 scholars who have now been onboarded into the space. Meet the Blu3 Team here: https://www.notion.so/blu3tofly/Meet-the-Blu3-DAO-Team-e29accc3c6054f649784ed008ece5334

Why are you interested in contributing to The Graph and/or web3?:
We strongly believe in the values of decentralization, equality & community that web3 espouses, but believe this promising future must be built by diverse individuals. We believe that the Graph, as both an open sourced indexing protocol, and an organization with many women in leadership roles, also believe in these values. We would love the opportunity to partner with you.

Thanks for your submission. A few questions:

A) What is the breakdown of the requested funding?
B) What metrics are tracked in regards to the ROI for the Graph Advocates DAO?
C) Is the funding solely to provide scholarships to women hackers to attend conferences?

Hi Pooria, happy to answer:

A) What is the breakdown of the requested funding?

Venue and food costs for hacker bootcamp prior to ETHBogota - 3k

Food and travel stipends for women to attend ETHBogota and Devcon - 4k

Venue and food costs for Blu3 Day (educational summit including the Graph workshop (1 hour)) - 3k

B) What metrics are tracked in regards to the ROI for the Graph Advocates DAO?

number of builders submitting project with the Graph subgraphs at ETHBogota

number of developers onboarded to the Graph technology

C) Is the funding solely to provide scholarships to women hackers to attend conferences?

A portion of the funding is to provide food and travel to local LATAM women who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend ETHBogota or Devcon. The rest of the funding goes towards putting on events for the community. We will have a two day hacker bootcamp from Oct 6-7 to prepare our women builders to hack at ETHBogota. The hacker bootcamp will consist of ideation, strategy, and workshop sessions over 5 hours. The Graph will be covered as part of our curriculum when we discuss sponsor bounties. We will need to pay for the venue and food costs for 40 people. In addition, we are throwing an event called Blu3 Day which is an all-day career and educational summit for women, nb and allies to transition to a web3 career and learn how to do so. We will also need to pay for venue and food costs for this event. A workshop on The Graph will be included in the Blu3 Day schedule.

Happy to elaborate or answer more questions!
